University Assessment Committee

The members of the University Assessment Committee are selected by the College Assessment Committees and also include representations from the University Academic Affairs Committee (UAAC) and University Graduate Affairs Committee (UGAC).

The University Assessment Committee focuses on supporting the assessment of student learning across ¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app University. Effective Fall 2016, the primary charge of the Assessment Committee is to:

  • Provide guidance and support to the development of program and course assessment plans;
  • Advise, support and provide training for assessment efforts related to student learning;
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives related to student learning;
  • Help to minimize duplication of efforts by leveraging assessment processes to meet the standards of multiple accrediting bodies; and
  • Support the implementation of University-level assessment.

The Committee provides results and recommendations to the University Academic Affairs and Graduate Affairs Committees regarding targets, benchmarks, and actions indicated by these results. The Committee works in collaboration with the University Academic Affairs and Graduate Affairs Committees as well as the College Assessment Committees and student government.
