Assesstival

Each year during May Institute faculty and staff, programs, courses, co-curricular units, and university assessments are presented in a poster session. Posters are available to view throughout the week and this year awards will be presented for outstanding assessment work.

ASSESSMENT SPOTLIGHT

Dr. Teresa Bixby, Director of University Assessment, shared the work of the BC4 taskforce ‘Assessment of Ethical Reasoning in the Gen Ed’ at May Institute 2023. This work illustrates the essential teamwork of 8 disciplinary experts to assess ethical reasoning.

Dr. Dave Anderson shared course assessment ‘Assessing Communication Skills in Mass Media Ethics’ at May Institute 2023. This work provides an excellent example of closing the loop – assessment, intervention, reassessment.

Jeannine Haberman, DNP shared program assessment ‘¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app NCLEX Outcomes’ at May Institute 2023. This work provides evidence over time for a program success outcome, benchmarks to external data, and cites multiple pieces of evidence.

An archive of Assesstival! posters can be found under Accreditation and Assessment on the my¶¶Òõ»ÆÉ«app portal.
